Upcoming Concert

The concert organized by Standout Events featuring Italian singer Antonello Venditti and local band Winter Moods which was planned for this Friday 24 August will be postponed to Saturday 1 September, as a sign of respect towards the two days of national mourning on Friday and Saturday following the passing away of former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff.

Standout Events wishes to inform the public that the venue of the 1 September concert will remain the same, that is, MFCC Ta’ Qali, and the timing too remains unchanged at 8pm with the start of the Winter Moods concert, followed by Antonello Venditti on stage at 9.30pm.

People already in possession of entrance tickets will be automatically allowed inside the venue on Saturday 1 September. Standout Events apologizes for any inconvenience caused, but felt it was appropriate to move the date of the event given the events happening in Malta over this weekend. Standout Events thanks first and foremost the management of Antonello Venditti for providing an alternative date within the singer’s Unica tour schedule, as well as thanks the venue, sponsors and the media for supporting this change of date. “The interest shown by the public for this concert featuring the legendary Italian singer-songwriter Antonello Venditti and Malta most popular band Winter Moods is amazing. Venditti was in Malta in June to promote his concert. A veteran of the Italian music scene and one of its most popular artists, he has a considerable following in Malta. To date he has released over 30 albums, the latest is 2011’s Unica, which features the controversial Berlusconi-inspired song “La ragazza del Lunedi (Silvio)”. The concert will feature also classics such as “In Questo Mondo di Ladri”, “Sotto il Segno dei Pesci”, “Buona Domenica”, and “Grazie Roma”. Venditti’s Malta concert is part of his ongoing Unica 2012 tour.

Antonelli Venditti Live in Concert in Malta at MFCC

Following the success achieved at  last year’s Zucchero ‘Chocabeck’ Concert, Standout Events now proudly presents popular Italian singer/songwriter ANTONELLO VENDITTI .

Since his last concert in  Malta in 2001, he will be visiting Malta this Summer and performing live in concert on the 24th August 2012  at the MFCC Open Grounds, Ta’ Qali. Venditti is expected to attract a numerous audience,  in view of his considerable following in Malta and Gozo. Moreover, this concert should also target tourism from Italy, since Venditti also attracts a large, loyal following all across the Italian Peninsula.

The concert is expected to be one of the main events for this Summer. The popular local band WINTER MOODS will be performing as Special Guests on the night.

It is our intention to promote the concert in Malta extensively in Italy, especially through  online media. The show in Malta shall be promoted via Venditti’s official sites, all sites related to live concerts and tours by Italian artists, as well as other Italian music based sites.
